About the Artist
I am an artist and I also have Down syndrome. I had it when I was born. When I was born I didn’t breathe and I had a hard time with it. I don’t like having Down syndrome at all but it doesn’t get me down. I inspire myself. I paint my cat Louie, cakes, my family, cupcakes. I did a painting of Ray Charles. I am very proud of myself. When I get very frustrated, I keep myself calm. I stay focused with my art work. I am an artist.
Alexa is an artist who was born in Windsor, Ontario and grew up in Orleans and Kemptville. Alexa is a female artist and who now lives in Ottawa. She likes to bake, ride horses, do word searches, make art with friends and spend time with her boyfriend. Alexa explores acrylic paint, ink, embroidery and graphite. Alexa loves to paint horses, people, cupcakes, and cakes.
