About the Artist
My art is about a special bridesmaid going to Hawaii and to the full moon. I like to draw flowers, lanterns, big church, cake, husband and wife. My art is aloha – that means dancing. My art looks like a special beach. It looks like a big bus to New York City. New York City is important because of Broadway. I like the Broadway show Lion King. Lion King is one of my favorite stories about love. I am inspired by Lion King because I love flowers and animals. I also like dogs and cats and fashion shows. I’m inspired by my surroundings and the big full moon. I like to watch the stars at night and look at the moon. I like to make art about amazing dresses. I like to sing country music about love. I sing everywhere. I like drawing, painting, and writing. I write about stories about the full moon and my parents.
Ashley is an artist and a bridesmaid from Ottawa. Ashley enjoys visual arts, dance, clothing design, writing, poetry, and singing. Ashley is inspired by romance and it is central to her work. Her parents taught her how to make art and she has been painting and drawing ever since. Ashley’s art has been featured in solo and group exhibitions. In 2024, Ashley was the recipient of the Won Lee Prize, administered by the NaAC.
