About the Artist
My dad said I’ve been doing art since I could hold a pencil. I zoomed past the phase of doubting myself and never stopped drawing. I think it just comes naturally to me. It also runs in the family, my dad is an artist, my dad’s dad is an artist.
I want the viewer to be able to look at my work and feel the painting. I want them to see my art how they would see it, as most of my work holds meaning to myself and others.
Emilia Valerio is an artist at BEING studio who is inspired by puddles, flowers, people, and other artists’ work. She enjoys art, cosplaying, biking, longboarding, and exploring the woods. Her work is often experimental; she tries out different mediums, tools, and styles inspired by the world around her. Her experiences living with autism, depression, and anxiety can be seen throughout her work. Most recently, Emilia took part in the summer 2025 Synching Space Residency. She enjoys art, cosplaying, biking, longboarding, and exploring the woods.
