About the Artist
I grew up in Chicoutimi, Quebec. I have French, Metis, and English roots. I started doing my art in elementary school after I began drawing on my mother’s
wall, and it became a frequent part of my life after that. I am mostly self-taught, but pick stuff up sometimes from other artists that I see or work with. I enjoy using many mediums, but I mostly use pencil crayons and paint markers, often mixing the two of them together sometimes to create new colors and add dimension to my work. I also enjoy using collaging materials to make crafts. I am very much inspired by animals and nature/flowers. I observe the world around me to incorporate into my art, and often will take a memory of something I’ve seen and will translate that into my art as well. I want people to see how hard I work on what I create. I also want them to see a story that can be interpreted in millions of different ways. To me, being an artist encompasses life. It means the ability to share a piece of me with the world.
